    Still leaks

    I posted a while back that I was having a leak from my valve cover. I have tried all I possibly could but it still leaking. Taken valve cover and replaced gasket, cleaned surface from any contaminants and oil, reinstalled cover and tighten up bolts. I test it with my earmuff and everything...

    Faria tach.

    I have a faria tach on my boat, but I think it's not working properly. It's alway ready @ 1500rpm. Does any one know how to test this tachs. Hook up another one to compare wether the faria is not calibrated properly.

    keep blowing valve cover gaskets

    I have a 96 3.0lx and i keep blowing the gasket on the valve cover, I have replaced it lots of times and same thing. I have the right torque on the bolts and have also added silicone. Can anyone suggest anything that might help with this..

    Tapping noise from valve and side cover

    I was adjusting my timing yesterday, and noticed a tapping sound coming from the valve cover. Can anybody give me some Ideas of to what might be the cause of this. Engine is 96 mercruiser 3.0lx

    ignition timing

    Its probably been asked already, but does anyone have the procedure to set ignition timing on a 96 merc 3.0lx. Is the procedure on the seloc repair manual accurate.
