Is this OKay? Just till the nut gets tight and the lock tabs are in place? I don't see how I can get the prop to hold still to do a slow torque on it with my torque wrench unless I do it with the boat in gear and I'd rather not do that. Also what can happen if I go to far down and compress...
Greetings. Havn't posted for a while and got the boat out of storage.
I decided to change the lower oil today.
I took out the 3 plugs I had. Vent, Oil level/fill, and drain.
The unit was all the way down and I drained it. Gear oil is nasty stuff and I let it drain for about 20 minutes...
Symptoms.....
Stalling at idle or idle in gear.
Would not go past 2400rpm at WFO.
Bogging and rough running.
Here's what I did myself...
Cleaned the carbs, cleaned the plugs, checked spark, checked for fuel, rebuilt the fuel pump, compression check, (135 #1 145 #2-4)
Still baffled I decided...
I hate this slock or whatever manual I have to work on my force 120. It dosn't show crap for pictures and the pictures it does show are ones that arn't my application...

Okay there are 2 wires hanging off the ignition box. Where do they go? they arn't hooked to anything. Its the picture that has a red circle.

Hey guys just wondering what the part numbers are on carb rebuild kits. I have a force 120 1996 so I'd need 2 kits. Also a fuel pump rebuild kit.
Is it cheaper to just by new carbs and a fuel pump or is it better/cheaper to rebuild them?

It had a stalling problem when I first took it out on the lake. I used the service manual the previous owner included and reset the idle. Still didn't really fix it. I sea foamed it and it ran much better. Then I tried taking the carbs off and cleaning them.
