I read in the West Marine catalog the a transducer can be mounted the hull using either epoxy OR silicone. Has anyone used a silicone adhesive to do this? Which one? I don't mind using epoxy but not sure how the transducer would ever be removed.
Looking to replace the digital depth finder I have now with a B/W basic fish finder. The Humminbirs Pirrana series would be fine but I have read that they are not really intended for depths below three feet.
