    Ujoints clunking?

At least on my alpha no problems greasing with the zerk in that location.

Sea Pro 195 F/S fuel tank size

Empty it and refill. That will get you very close, although not close enough for me to trust with a premix. Now you know how much you added, so add the appropriate amount of oil. Going forward, just add your 16 oz to every 6 gallons or whatever.

Wiring positive cable from Amps to battery or common on Switch?

Most (all?) amps that I've seen are turned on by the head unit anyway, so while there's battery power to the amp at all times, it isn't "on". I have my head unit on a switch, so unless the switch is on the head unit isn't getting power. If there were an acc position on my ignition switch I'd...

    I Got Me a Mercury !!!

You got me interested. Seem s like it's still closer to a CDI type system than a points system electrically. This is the most in-depth explanation that I found, though the writing is a bit dramatic: https://wrcoutboards.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/The-Phase-Maker-CDI.pdf Also, you probably...

1986 Four Winns Horizon 190, Carb Linkage?

@Lou C can help with the carb, although that doesn't sound like the issue anymore. At speed, try closing the choke a bit manually or covering the air intake. You should lose speed. What do the plugs look like? "Compression is good"--numbers? Timing--have you checked it, and make sure it's...

Mercruiser 3.0L LX - EST Ignition - how to check for proper spark?

This will tell you if there's the impulse for the spark, but not the quality. Good first step but not definitive. That said, if this is all 4 cylinders then probably fuel. 2 cylinders OP could be dropping cylinders from ignition/compression/fuel. Best way to check is with a dedicated spark...

    Spring replacement?

Yeah I was a little hesitant with the SS not knowing the hardness, having second thoughts with those. No way to check the old ones. The bushings are nylon, still there just a bit of play. Planning on getting the correct size but have some time now. Hopefully don't need to use the trailer again...

    I Got Me a Mercury !!!

Get a DVA. Or you might want to build one. Not sure what type of electronic ignition is in that one, but I had a hell of a time last year chasing down an ignition problem on my 25 hp. Intermittent weak/no spark. I fired up the parts cannon to no avail, but having the DVA would have saved me a...

Rain water getting into front of boat (Sea Ray 180)

So that isn't a bad idea. Get a piece of material to run from the top of the windshield/under the existing top, down and over the seam of the bow cover.

    Shift question

Pull the whole drive now, it's much easier to work on and lets you check out the gimbal/ujoints/alignment (buy a tool on ebay). Leak by the transom is no bueno. Y pipe can corrode and leak down there. If it's a leak around the transom shield though you're likely looking at a rotten transom.

V6 TKS next cylinder TDC 60 or 120 rotation

Yup, you're right. Coming to TDC every 60, firing every 120.

    Shift question

Yeah, you never came out of forward gear before that shaft slipped. Pushing the stick back at that point just gave it throttle.

    Shift question

There's a washer/spacer in between the cases that likes to escape when they're split. Proper fix is to split the case and replace the washer, the "other" way is to put a hose clamp around the shaft to keep it from dropping back down. That's assuming nothing weird is going on. The drive should...

    Shift question

Good thought, I assumed OP was actually travelling in reverse when the shifter was in reverse.

V6 TKS next cylinder TDC 60 or 120 rotation

You've got 6 cylinders, not 3. The 4.3 has an offset crank to allow it to fire evenly over the 2 banks, so each is firing every 60'.
