i need help. no spark on either cylinder . i did the test on my 86 johnson 40 hp rectifier that joe reeves posted and it appeared it might be bad . so when i got the new one i tested it and got the same results .my ohm meter shows infinty (or open i guess) on all tests on all wires of rectifier...

to use a non vro pump, the new pump mount to the bosses on the block, and you block off the pulse line under the carb.
here is one without the VRO, see the fuel pump mounted to the block.

i really dont see anything other than the high speed and low speed jets and the float bowl ,without removing the core plugs . it says to diassemble carb.but how far ?
