    oil ?? coming out the exhaust

    well trying to finally start it, but it keeps back firing and not starting up, its got a spark its getting fuel anyone know why it wont start?

    stupid questions but just making sure?

    73 johnson 20hp ignition coil question?

    hi, im restoring in a word a 73 johnson im already replaced the plugs, cleaned the carb, pistons are moving freely, selects gears but .... only getting a spark in one plug so today took the top off to check the points to find the ignition coil that had no spark with cracks all in the casing...

    freeing up the clamping screws

    hi, dunno what the proper name is but the screw that tighten to the transom, to hold the engine on. i purchased and engine and found them to be seized solid i have tried heating them, and a ridiculous amount of wd40, but still nothing is there anything else i can try? cheers Gav
