    I'm not overly familiar with outboards, my fathers 3.5 stopped circulating water, none at all coming out the pee hole. Got it apart, the impeller looks good.     johnson 3hp what year

    hi, i have the serial number "c0496008", model number on the panel is scratched out, is there a way to look up that serial number and tell the model # and year??. it recomends using j4j plugs and mixing fuel 50:1, if that helps? it idles for about 2 secs and then dies.
