I let my boat drift up against some submerged rocks and it took some good size chunks out of the gelcoat (down to the fiberglass) along the edge of the strake. Is there a product out there to fix this easily or is it going to be a major repair?

I have a 1964 MFG Westfield with a remote searchlight. The light is controlled by a copper rod running through an aluminum tube. Obviously the copper and aluminum mixture have fused together. Does anyone have any advice on how to repair this or a suitable replacement?
