My 1967 mercury 650 4 cyl will make my boat stay in plowing mode for about 20 minutes then it will slowly throttle up and plane out to full throttle. any ideas of how I can get it to go full throttle quicker? Throttle cable adjustment maybe? Any help is appriciated.

what color wire would i put a kill switch on for my motor? It will not stop running... It's probably corrosion in the ignition switch. I cannot find a black/yellow wire anywhere on the motor. I'd like to get the boat out on the lake next week without having to replace and rewire the entire...
