Once you watch the video you can tell that the motor will rev up and then I guess "sneeze" and sometimes die but usually keeps running. What can cause this, what can I check for? I really want to fish this weekend.

I have a 1985 30hp evinrude that has some problems. When I start the motor it idles for a sec then revs up and dies. Check out the video, could this be carb problem or lose of compression? Make sure your sound is on so you can hear it when it dies.
