I have a plugged gauge port in the block water jack behind the 1/2" brass fitting. I have cleaned out the block port hole (~3/8" dia. hole) to a depth of ~ 1/2" past the tapped portion of the hole for the brass fitting. This hole appears to be a 3/16" dia. hole that going into the engine block...
