I just cleaned all my plugs and replaced them. Started the motor up and it ran fine for about a minute then quit.
Now I can choke the motor with the key but it will not turn over/attempt to start.Fresh battery that's all charged up.
Any ideas?
Can anyone tell me recommended battery requirements for this motor?
It's on an 18 foot center console fishing boat with very little extra electronics, I have a fish finder and a vhf radio.
The one that came with it is wet filled, can I use a maint free type?

Hi, I live in NC and my boat is in outdoor storage when not being used-
Is there anything I can get to keep the battery charged up?
There is no electrical to plug a charger into.
I have an older 1996 DT 140. The boat was in storage all winter.
I charged up the battery and my tilt/trim motor makes noise (like it does when it works ok) but it won't go up or down.
I loosened the cap on the reservoir and fluid came out.
Both switches work fine.
Any ideas?
Any way to move it...
