    Update: found the smoking gun. The red/purple ring terminal connector at the 90 amp fuse block at the starter was intermittent. My pulling on the battery cable was moving the loose solenoid which was wiggling the loose connection in the red/purple ring terminal. My battery cable was fine...

    During the fail time, the orange wire at the alternator is testing 12+V’s…the same as the battery. Everything else is dead.

    I searched here and pored over manual. I’ve a Bravo 1 on my 2001 searay. I didn’t take enough pics to determine if the new steering arm faces up or down. Attached is a pic of what I think is right. Please advise Go/NoGo Thx

    Checking back in: problem found. The battery cable to starter solenoid wasn’t even finger tight. The zip ties holding the cable were about the only thing keeping contact.
