we want to put an external fuel pump on our dt65. what is the proper fuel pressure?
the motor runs at 3/4 throttle for awhile and then bogs down, pull the throttle back to 1/4 -1/2 for a little bit and then it will take off again at 3/4.
pumping the bulb while at 3/4 doesn't help. not sure...
i have a 1989 (?) Suzuki DT65. factory specs call for a 11 1/2 x 16 prop. that size is almost impossible to find except from suzuki. what size should i get, do i go down in pitch, down in diameter? the motor is on a 21' pontoon.
i was reading a post about mushroom reef, but it was from a few years ago. we are going to put in at Temple Bar. what suggestions do you have for beaches and fishing areas? what does mushroom reef look like now?

We took out our pontoon for the first time and have some issues. Motor starts right up and idles good. When you lift the idle bar, we get maximum rpms, but when you engage the prop and try to accelerate it dies.
When you do get it to run slow 3-4 mpg, the whole motor "clunks" forward every...

it hasn't been on the lake in 1 1/2 years. what service should be done before we go out?
what do we watch for or "try out" on our first outing?
