My 1986 150 hp evinrude has developed a new problem with the ignition. The port side middle cylinder is not firing below about 2800 rpm. All others fire fine at idle. The middle cylinder seems to fire fine at 2800 rpms and up. I have swapped wires and coils and will swap power packs tonight...
My dad has a '94 175 hp johnson with a temp sending unit and console temperature guage. He says that on the flush unit, the motor always ran near 160F and never below 140F and that last weekend it wouldn't get above 120F. My ?? is what is a normal temp and what might cause the motor not to get...
Does anyone know if you can test the output of a power pack with an ac voltmeter or does it take a special tester? I have no fire on a middle cylinder and I have already swapped out a working coil which made no change. Any tips would be appreciated.
I have an engine that has thrown the magnets on two different flywheels a total of four times. What glue is best to use to stop this ? I want to repair myself to see if it has been done wrong in the past. Is there a better solution, like an after market flywheel?
