i have this drive from a 1998 v/p and the outer prop seals were leaking. i made the repair but it wont hold a vacuum of 15in, it drops to about 11 or 12. the book says to apply heavy oil to find the source.
has anyone done this that can walk me through it. i am not familiar with this process...
its not that simple when the problem is intermittent. the ECU is enclosed and ive tested the hareness and the wiring is fine. as i originally stated, when i sent neg signal; to the pump,with the ECU still connected, the ecu "woke up" and has operated as it should each time since.
thanks, i have a rinda scanner and these modules really do not have much in the way of scan tests and diagnostics. that plus th efact its now working properly, makes it even more difficult
hi all, im working on a merc 200HP 2 stroke EFI motor with no start condition, (ot143331) it was put away wet last year and now would not start. the fuel pump was not running. testing with as probe i found power and no ground. during crank. when i sent negative to the (-) terminal the pump...
i got the drive in the shop and pressufre tested it at several pressures and pressure has held at each level.
what would you do? change out the seals in the input shaft or chalk it up to an anomoly and check it again next year?
