    Yammie compression & rpms?

    More findings from sick yamaha 40 all the numbers I could find are 1984 Yamaha 40 HEO 6H4 Model#101071 Rebuilt the carbs set the jets to spec. as stated in the manual. Readings from compression test are 92 lbs. for each cylinder. The moter idels great runs good untill about 3/4 speed on water...

    Yamaha 40 ????

    I'm new to this sight but there seems to be a lot of really good info here. My question is I have a 1984 Yamaha 40 outboard idels fine has good compression on all 3 cyls. throws a nice spark runs good at low end of throttle. But has a reall loss or rpm's at WOT will not even get close to plane...
