    3.0 GS "ding" sound in engine while starting

    I get a loud bing/ding in the engine while trying to start the engine, not sure if anyone knows what it is. The engine does start however it just don't sound right

    New nuts for lower unit required? 1999 3.0 volvo penta

    Serviced the u-joints and gimble. Do the nuts that hold the lower unit on need to be replaced. Are they one time use only? They do have plastic in them thanks

    volvo 3.0 GS fuel filter - year 1999

    Got the fuel filter and it seems to made up of a stone like material blueish type color. It's from NAPA. The boat is not available to me now so I can't check. Does this seem right. I was expecting a paper type filter. thanks
