I have 1972 evinrude 50hp with eclectic controller that does not shift out of neutral. I have done a continuity check and it works well so I thinking the solenoid is the next step, however I do not where the solenoid and clutch is located? Please tell me any thoughts you have on getting it to shift.
I took 1972 50hp evinrude off of a 17 foot tri hull with a 20 inch transom, and put it on a 15 foot bass boat with a 17 inch transom will this make a difference?

I have a 1972 50hp evinrude with a eclectic control box. What is the best way to change the lower unit oil. The drain and sight plug are very small with makes it hard to fill from the bottom.
