    This is a hard question 2 decribe but i will try 2 ask so you can understand, to start with this is a 1981 50 hp. mariner 4 cl. with 2 carbs. the gasket kit is Quicksilver 1399-5137 .ok as you know this kit contains 5 peaces, 2 gaskets, difram , and 2 other thinner gaskets are these diframs...

    hard to start ?

    hey all, i have a 1982 mariner 50 hp. that is hard 2 start at first but after it does and idles for a second ,then turn it off ,then barley bump the kee and it will start right up, but after sitting 15 or 20 minuets back 2 being hard 2 start.any thoughts,.......and also starter went bad...

    yes, I have a dumb question and i cant find any information on the net so i thought i would ask some smart people. can a switch box be rebuilt , can you get the resin epoxy out or what ever that stuff is , can any one help please?:confused:

    2 lug starter

    :confused: 1981, 4cly. mariner outboard. some one else tore down starter,starter has 2 lugs one at top side & 1 on other side bottom. top lug has large black wire that was left on, does this wire loop down 2 bottom lug? wire looks like it may. does any one have digram 2 help wire this back up...

    1971, 50hp. mariner outboard , motor serial # 5964738 ,need to order new carb gaskets but i cant find my carb # on the net at parts houses. the # on my carbs is 1364-4929 .do i need this or only year model ?

    help with year & switch box

    could anyone please tell me the year of my motor ? it is a 50 hp. mariner 4 clinder serial# 5964738. and allso ,should their be any voltage at all from any wire going to the switch box with switch key in the on position? thanks much for any help.
