Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
WoodonGlass, do you think I have a plan? Of course not, lol! I'm going to go with a lot of resin and lay out some glass the best I can with a little praying... It kind of works out where it is because I'll be putting a nice layer of PB down under the transom between...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
I know I have not posted anything in the last month, however I have been diligently at work! I got the transom all out and sanded off all the extra resin and seams, along with cutting the new transom out... Have a look, I will be working on the stringers next...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
Thank you for all the new people following!
So, I was able to spend a couple of hours out on the boat today so I spent the day working on the walls of the hull. when I cut off the floor and the shelves there was a very small lip left going horizontal that I wanted...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
Welcome along Greenbush! This is really a weekend project for me, I'm lucky if I can get 2 hours of work done on this boat a week. From time to time I go a little crazy and call into work or take a vacation day and drop my 14 month old son off at his grandmothers...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
w
So, I got most the floor up, all but a small piece up front. All the foam is out and I started working on removing the back portion of the stringers this weekend, which were really all mush in between 2 pieces of fiberglass. The entire rear section of the...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
I know it has been some time since I have posted anything, however I have NOT given up... It's been too cold to be out there for hours at a time. I was able to finish my cradles and got the boat on them today! I took all the trim off and started grinding down the PB...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
Okay so I take that back it's about 2" between the sections you can cut, which have 3 LEDs. See the attached picture. By the way the other side of it is 3M, I don't know if I would just mount it using that but it will help when you're mounting it into place.
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
See at the end of the day I still have an addiction with electronics and I have started piling up on items for the boat, here are just a couple
-Arduino board
-16' (300) LED White led strip (might I add WATERPROOF!)
-Temperature sensor (Waterproof)
I have already...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
Thanks Chriscraft for all the info! I don't know what I would do without you guys other than save money! Okay, so there is no structural purposes of this tube correct? Also, do you think once I cut it off, should I replace it by fiberglassing it back in or should I...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
Thanks for the pics JB!!!!
I started working on the cradle. I was looking over a bunch of different designs and I had to customize my design a little due to the amount of work space I have along with how I was going to remove the boat from the trailer without...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
Okay, is it possible just to sand it down or do you need to apply additional gelcoat where you sanded? Just so I can get an idea of how what to budget myself for. I just think it would like nice with a fresh coat on there, I want to get all the decals off of the...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
As for cradle designs I really like this one and I think I'm going to make a spin off of something like it.
I'm just going to have to make some structure type changes to it, like I said above, I need to have it open down the keel. I think a design like this would...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
Well I did a little work today... Still not the cradle but oh well, I'll be picking up the wood this week! We are supposed to have a nice weekend (not freezing and snowing), so I would like to work on the cradle and try getting the boat on it by next week, that is...
Re: Damaged Hull -- Pictures
So, I did a little work however, milestone (in my opinion) I have uncovered a portion of the stringer! The other picture is under the "dashboard" I removed the panels so now there is a clear shot to the front of the boat. I made some BIG progress! lol! I keep up at...
