    Underwater video cameras

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with any type of underwater video systems, fish cams etc. For some reason, I can't get it out of my head that it would be cool to look around under the boat and see what's going on down there. I've looked around on ebay and some other sites and I've...

A Stubborn water pump, and what I did to fix it.

I bought my third, and possibly my best 9.5 hp Evinrude last fall. This thing starts right up and runs like a top, but it needed a new water pump. After a little bit of a struggle due to corroded parts, I got it apart to the point where I could replace the pump. It turned out that I needed the...

6 hp conversion from long shaft to short shaft

I just bought a 1975 6 hp model 6R75R long shaft motor. I want to convert it to short shaft for my little 12' aluminum boat, and I want to know if this is a big deal. It seems pretty simple to me, but I thought it toss it around here first.

    Serial/Model number location on a 7HP Chrysler

According to charts that I found on the internet, my 7 hp Chrysler has a model number of either 72HA, or 73HA, and the only year they were made was 1970. I'd still like to find the numbers on the motor, but I don't see them anywhere. I looked all over the outside, and inside but no luck. Anybody?

9.5 hp Johnsons: good or bad

I recently bought a 1973 Johnson 9.5 hp. So far, it seems like a good little motor, but I've read a couple of posts where 9.5s may have a quirk or two. I would like to hear from other 9.5 owners about whether or not they like them, and what to look out for. Thanks, Paul
