I got a 1957 Johnson 10hp (QD-18) motor runs awesome, but at low speed it like misfires or fires out of time, the motor will jerk when it does this. used to do this occaisionally, now it is doing it very often this year. I also noticed that when it does this it blows hard into the tank pressure...
I looked this up on iboats parts and the # they have is 18-3377, I think this is just their # but i would like to pick this up tomorrow at a local spot, the number is for the pump kit w/o the housing. (impeller, plate, grommet) It's for a 1957 QD-18 (10 hp. johnson) Thanks.
I have a 1957 Johnson seahorse 10 Model QD-15. I wasn't getting any water flow so I pulled the lower unit and replaced the impeller. It didn't look like it was in bad shape. Does this motor have a thermostat? If so where is it located. I don't think it does, but would like to know for sure...
