    sportmaster ?

    I have a 2000 280 with sportmaster the other day I went to take off and I heard a bang then motor reved up and died cranked motor back up put it in forward and it idles around fine as normal give it a little gas and motor just revs up . I have checked the hub in the prop, shift cable, no damage...

    225 efi lean sneeze?

    Have a 1998 mercury 225 efi motor was rebuilt less than 10 hours ago. At idle only in gear it sneezes once in a while . Any suggestions on what could cause this problem . Thanks

    I have 1.75 gears in my lower unit i am wanting to switch to 1.62 . i know i have to change pinion and forward gear what about the reverse gear ?

    lower bearing removal

    I have a 1998 a 225 mercury efi I am rebuilding motor . Everything has gone good but I can't figure out how to remove the lower bearing on the crankshaft. Is this bearing pressed on and off . Any ideas on how to remove bearing . thanks

    what gear ratio do i have

    i have a 1999 225 merc efi and i was wondering what gear ratio i have. I counted the teeth on the gears the pinion gear has 12 teeth the forward gear has 22 or 23 teeth . is this a 1.75 or a 1.82 gear ratio thanks

    1999 225 efi sluggish take off

    i have a 1999 225 efi when i first leave the ramp and take off boat accelerates perfectly and runs good to fishin hole then when i get ready to leave the spot the motor takes off real sluggish but planes out and runs good any ideas what this could be. also when i turn the key on usally it makes...
