    If I buy a two stroke outboard, could I use it in the colder months without winterizing if I took it inside after each use?

    HELP QUICK- Mercury 110 9.8 hp shaft length

    Bidding on ebay, and the seller neglects to answer my question.<br /><br />Does anyone know the shaft length of this motor (preferrably from top of clamp to cavitation plate)?<br /><br />I have 23 hours. <br /><br />Any help is MUCH appreciated.

    I am buying a 7-10 hp motor for my 12' jon boat. The transom is about 17". Should I go with a short or long shaft?
