    Strange exhaust behavior during winterizing

Both. When the thermostat opens that feeds the manifolds. The check ball T on the housing otherwise feeds the elbows with bypass water until it opens.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I had a 5:1 epoxy kick in a mixing cup. That was violent, it actually contracted the mixing cup like a shrinky dink. The open time was long but when it went it went fast. The poly mixed at 1-2% was pretty resilient even at 100+. Never found myself fighting to work too fast. Again, could always...

    That stuff looks familiar.

    Strange exhaust behavior during winterizing

I first, would not trust the single point drain to have emptied everything. And second, would not trust sucking antifreeze via the muffs to work well. The only way to know if it's safe would be to drain each component individually and check if the antifreeze has actually made it there and...

Considering a 22-25ft cabin cruiser. thoughts?

Like I said, it was great room wise just hammered a lot which makes sense seeing the changes. The larger one he got was sweet and is a SV2. I've run on a contender too and thats a whole different animal lol. I want to say the one I was on was more or less based on the old formula 223 hull...

Considering a 22-25ft cabin cruiser. thoughts?

Want to say it was a late 80s model. Before the Seav2 update. (Had to look that up as I'm not up on gradys... not my speed but seeing the difference with the V2 hull, my experience makes sense.) Also explains why I thought the 25 was a massive change in ride quality for not as huge size...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I rounded a body filler spreader over. That worked reasonably well. Small plastic spoons on the small ones. Towards the end I just started laying up on the wet filet which worked well too and rounded it with the roller. I don't know if that is a no no but I only did it on non critical areas. I...

My uncle didn't make it long enough to finish his own... But it was drivable and he did.

Pink Super Tech (Walmart) -50 RV and Marine ok for engine?? I always thought NO...??

I only wrote it as I did because the ones not reccomended for use in engines will typically list ethanol/ethyl alcohol on the bottle... thus avoid "alcohol". That being said I've seen methanol ones as well and can't help but wonder if it is just washer fluid with a different label...

Pink Super Tech (Walmart) -50 RV and Marine ok for engine?? I always thought NO...??

The only one you'd want to avoid leaving in there is one with alcohol in it. As long as it's some version of glycol (PG or EG) with corrosion inhibitors. (Both nontoxic and automotive are corrosive when they don't have an inhibitor) Leave it dry, leave it filled with AF, purge with AF and...

    Fuel starvation conundrum

The hose in question I had replaced was the OE goodyear... I want to say fluoroelastomer or something similar printed on it and date stamped 1983... that didn't dryrot, leak or anything odd. Obviously what replaced it didn't fare as well. There really is alot of garbage out there now.

Decent transmission rebuilder to get a rebuilt/ Reman 6L80E

Just out of curiosity. What constitutes a low mileage transmission?

    Fuel starvation conundrum

I've had a few of the cheaper lines (cars) swell internally and become porous with ethanol fuel even when rated for E10. Coincidentally the good automotive line isn't much cheaper than the marine stuff.

    Fuel starvation conundrum

I have seen a few times where a worn lobe on the fuel pump will test okay then not generate enough lift pulling up from normal tank height. I don't think that's your issue but maybe?

Are you getting sufficient water flow in and confirmed there are no restrictions on the block out the thermostat?
