    9.5 sears ted williams points wire?????

    hi guys, i picked up a 9.5 today that "needs some tlc" LOL anyway there is 2 wires coming from the points and going "somewhere" they are just hanging alongside the motor, i need to know where they go?? thanks for any help....

    got a new to me motor, could a quick rundown,,,,

    i just bought a 17.5 hydrosports VL 270 with a 150 mercury black max on it. it starts and seems to run great but i need to know what the gas/oil ratio is and maybe the year? would be nice, and ANY tips for a new owner (to a mercury motor) thanks ser number is ser 6607749
