SO when i try to raise and lower my trim tabs only the port side will move. No matter which button I hit ( both port and starboard) the port one moves when either is pushed....starboard wont??? doesnt really make sense. Is this a wiring issue or a pump. cylinder issue. Thanks in advance.

This black wire was loose when it came back from the mechanic shop...it connects to the "mercathode"...any help would be appreciated. What does the other end hook to?
TO try an explain it better...one end is attached to the "mercathode" and a black wire runs from it and was just hanging near...

OK here are the pics of the loose black wire. I traced it back to the bundle of wires from the "Mercathode" (pic) the black wire is not long enough so I dont think it was ever attached to the alternator...but I have a feeling the mechanic shop...
