We recently acquired this boat and trying to get it squared away. While checking wiring I noticed ground wire running from ignition amplifier was wrapped around wires coming out of amplifier. Manual shows it running to post on distributor bottom. Could this be the cause of surging at around 4000...
I find 3 different coils for my 1992 Sea Ray 180 (4.3 with thunderbolt ignition) from Sierra, Quicksilver or Mallory. Anyone have some technical expertise or experiences to share on which one to buy?
Sender in tank is a Teleflex ( float arm hangs up) and wondering about the Sea Choice unit and how the ground is configured on these units. I would appreciate any feedback on the SeaChoice unit and senders in general and which ones people prefer. Thanks
