I am getting ready to order my fiberglass mat and resin for my new deck. I was going to order 1.5 oz mat and poly resin. Is one coat of 1.5 oz mat enough or not?

I am resealing my tilt clutch housing on my 1976 175HP OMC Sterndrive. My local marina can get me all the parts (overnight) but the oring. My question is, can I use a stanard oring? The oring is separating type c lower unit lube & water.
I have a 1976, 175 OMC w/ a 302 engine.<br />It won't shift out of forward when I put it in neutral, I have to shut the engine off to get it to shift into neutral. I have heard somethings about a cut-off switch. Does anyone know where it is at or if i can by-pass it with a momentary switch on...
