Has anyone upgraded the PCM on the 300hp 6.2L (PN: 8M0124464) for the PCM on the 350hp 6.2L (PN: 8M0124465)?
Everything I have researched, this is the only difference in the two versions of the newer generation 6.2L

I have Stainless Marine water pumps with the stainless plugs, so I contemplated this (although I have like 20 of the blue plugs in my spare parts box ha). My understanding, based on this chart, is that a stainless plug in a cast iron block will cause galvanic corrosion...
Here is proof of failed plastic plugs on a 2018.
Also, FWIW, I would not use the SS plugs on a cast iron block. You don't want to have those two metals contacting each other or you'll see galvanic corrosion.
Well, that was an easy find/ fix. Turns out, I could have probably tackled this on hungover on Sunday lol.

I plan to do those. Question, what is the best way on this engine to kill the fuel supply to crank it for a compression test? The boat doesn't have a kill switch, which is what I normally use for this.
Ive owned the boat since new, in June 2018. It started doing this a bit last year when loaded down with people, but now I even notice it with just me. Boat is kept on a trailer, other than weekends when I am at different lakes.
