Yes and the boat is a project boat. It was turning over before then just died. And yes did direct jumping. This is a old motor and hasn't been worked on in years. I'm trying to get it going again. Just got a new wire harness for it and spark plugs and wires and ya.
I have a johnson meteor 100hp motor. The plate on motor says it's a v4ml-12r and I am trying to locate a starter fully assembled not parts for it. Mine is dead. The starter has a model prestolite mgd-4001-12v and I do Google search and so many different ones pop up but not looking like mine I...
Also the motor turned over before I did anything more for it. But the wire harness was destroyed. Meaning old and not good. And so I figured I'd replace that and do regular maintenance on it too like would with a car lol
I've already gotten new plugs and wires and coil and voltage regulator for it and now got a new wire harness for it. And it's the wires that go to the coil and alternator/starter that I'm having issues with and knowing which wire and color goes to them.
