Thanks guys. We got it fixed. When we installed it last week the splines on the drive shaft and power head did not line up so we rotated the lower unit until they lined up. doing this pushed the linkage out of the way instead of having them mate. We did this similar however once the splines...

1998 Yahama 2 stroke. We shifted into neutral did the impeller and it bolted right up. Now motor will not shift into forward or reverse. I read somewhere that both lower unit and shifter should be in reverse. Any help would be appreciated
