Any risk in using an automotive application relocator as opposed to a marine one?
Reason I ask is there is a considerable price difference.

On my starter solenoid there are 4 posts, 2 big and 2 small. One of the big ones is always hot (battery), the other big one is always cold (ground), one of the small ones is only got during cranking and the other small one is constant hot when the motor is running.

To eliminate the possibility of it being my problem (not always getting spark at the coil), can I replace the resistor wire between my ignition coil and alternator with a heavier gauge wire and install an in-line 9V resistor?
