My switch was worn down and I obliterated it in the process of trying to reposition it. I am having trouble tracking one down. Any help?

Just recently I took out my johnson and whipped it around the reservoir on a fresh batch of fuel and the motor started smoking. I ran it at about 32 to 1 and towards the end of the 1/2 mile jaunt it began to start smoking a little.
I didn't think anything of it and just chalked it up to a bad...

well I'm cleaning up my motor. right now I'm trying to split the block in half at the cylinders to see what the inside looks like. I guess I don't know what I'm looking for , but the cylinders seem smooth and have good compression. Anyways how do I split it in half. do I just take a flat head...

just wondering if the float pin comes with that wire that attaches it to the arm.
I don't think it does because when I removed the carb it wasn't there.

I pulled my carb apart to unstick the choke that was froze and now I have no clue how to set the float level, and really I'm pretty in the dark all together. I took a few days to figure out how the choke assembly works, but until I know how the pin is held in place, I'm stuck.
I did get some...
i have a general question here.
im trying to reassemble the carb and im stuck because i am not sure which way the float pin rests on the metal arm that connects the float to the motor. i am assuming that the pin should go rubber up. meaning the rubber tip should point up into that fuel port...
