    Yamaha SuperJet...first ride of 2012

Over this past winter, I re-painted the cowling, re-did my traction mats, new graphics, and even though they weren't failing yet, I went ahead and replaced the motor mounts, as a preventive measure, since they are 2 years old. So, now it's like a new ski. Went for the first ride of the season...

Grease fittings (or lack of) on '07 Yamaha 25HP?

My neighbor has a 2007 2 stroke Yamaha 25. This morning, he asked me to take a look at the grease fittings on his engine, as he hadn't seen anything like them. So, I looked at it, and sure enough, there were no zerk fittings on the tilt tube, nor on the cowling latch. Oddly, there was one on...

Quick Connect fitting for washdown pump hookup

About 7 years ago, I bought the inset plate and the hose from West marine. The hose had a small quick connect that clicks into the fitting on the plate that's set into the hull. It's made by www.hosecoil.com, and it's a "CPC" model. Naturally, I've somehow lost this little male QC fitting...

Here's a neat video I put together.....5 inshore saltwater species taken in one trip, on various tackle, including a fly rod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PohuJoHsY80 One of those rare days indeed! I can't pull this trick every time I go fishing, but I guess that's why they call it 'fishing'...

    Garelick 48351-9 folding seat?

I bought one of these a few years ago from West Marine, and I want to get another one just like it so my boat will have a matched set. But I'm not able to find one. Anyone know where to find it? It's model # 48351-9, and it's gray, with a white seating surface on the back and bottom. Thanks in...

    American jetboat-high output

I wasn't sure of what forum to post this in....so, I'll post it here. Well, we finally got 'er done. My 1997 Duracraft 1648SV has undergone a complete rebuild, where the old blown-up Tigershark 2 stroke 1000 cc engine was pulled from the boat, and we have installed a Yamaha MR-1 High...

Question about Tachometer for Yamaha AR230 jetboat

I've got my FXHO engine installed in my aluminum boat, and I've got it running!!:D Anyhow, my last task is to figure out the wiring configuration of the analog tachometer. This tach has 8 pins, 2 rows of 4. I know one is the ground wire, another would be the ignition wire, another would be...

    Avoid "Superior Axles"

Because they are NOT superior, they are INFERIOR. I've got a Triton aluminum trailer for my Yamaha VX110 jet ski. Had it about 3 years. Last week, my girlfriend took the ski to the river, and on the way back, she said she heard metal falling off going down the road. So, I took a look at it...

Anyone have a degree in electrical engineering?

If so, I need some help. This is a wire harness from a Yamaha MR-1 high output engine. And none of my 3 repair manuals show this. 3 plugs with wires: 2 and 3 pin plugs: 10 pin plug: I'm trying to figure out which wires go to the keyswitch, the stop and kill switches, and the...

    Wiring issues....need help!

I'm in the process of installing a Yamaha MR-1 engine in a 16 foot DuraCraft. I have everything done, except for the wiring. When this engine was pulled from a Yamaha jetboat, they failed to also remove the wiring harness that goes to the dash. So, what I have is the engine and CDI, but there...
