I do not think the one that is on there is the factory fuel pump, if it is, then it aged much better than the rest of the motor. Plus the previous owner let a lot of water accumulate in the fuel tank, like i siphoned a little more than an inch of gas into a mason jar and almost 1/4 of it was...
I am rebuilding the carbs and replacing the fuel pump, I would like to replace the fuel lines connecting them at the same time, but I am not having much luck finding what size ID the hose needs.
I did not, when i tried to get the first one out it was in there pretty good, not wanting to do damage to anything i left it in and cleaned it. Now i do have replacement plugs, if there could be more stuff in there i can takes the carbs off again and reclean and strong arm those out
I have a 1977 johnson 75 that dies as soon as i put it in gear in the water. I can run it in gear with earmuffs in the driveway, but not in the water. I have replaced the plugs, 2 coil packs, fuel filter, cleaned the carbs and replaced the gaskets and nothing seems to make any difference...
So, when I bought the boat it had the drain plug in the transom already, and an extra on sitting on the back deck, I'm wondering if thats what the extra plug was for.

I have a Bumblebee bass boat, I think it is a 1977, but that is only based on the fact the motor is a 77. Anyhow, when I took it out of the water there seemed to be a lot of water that came pouring out of a hole in the transom, the hole is supposed to be there, and its not the drain plug hole...
