I've cleaned and rebuilt the carb (1991 25 hp) and still can't get motor to start without taking off cowling and manual throttle. Once started runs well at higher rpms, but dies at idle. Could it be flooding? I ask because of the need for throttle to start and because if the motor is allowed...
Do all the 25 hp wmc carbs have a check ball in the primer system? I think I may have lost mine. I see it in the manual but not in the replacement carb kits. What does it do? How can I get a replacement? Could this cause the motor to be difficult to start and not idle? Thanks.
Anything special to know about replacing the fuel pump. I've cleaned the carb several times and still have trouble starting and won't idle. Could it be the fuel pump? Should I also buy a carb rebuild kit? Top of the carb says WMC. Is that the model? Thanks
The carb is not getting fuel to start or idle. Once started by feeding fuel into the carb I can get it to run, but will die at low rpms. Seems to run well at higher rpms.

The motor runs, but when I twist the handle to engage fwd or rvs, it does not engage. I can see a part on the side of the motor rotating into fwd or rvs but nothing happens but the rpm's increase. How can I fix this? I think the motor is @ '99. Thanks.
