    2001 40Hp Johnson. Having problems getting my motor to excelerate. Have cleaned and adjusted the Carbs & put in new spark plugs. The motor idles fine, but I can't get any speed. It acts like it's at half throttle.

    my 2000 40hp johnson vro pump is getting gas in the pulse hose is that normal the motor runs fine at wot for 10 or so secands thin falls on it, face:confused:

    I have a 2000 40hp. johnson with a vro2 pump I want to change to a standard fuel pump. this is the second vro to go bad . thanks.

    Motor Problem

    I have a 2000 40HP Johnson 2 stroke with VR02 Oil Fuel Pump. When I put it in gear and go to WOT, it will run for about 15 seconds and then shuts down. I have rebuilt carb's, put a new inline filter. No change. I took the VR02 pump off and the pulse limiter fitting at the pump has no opening...
