yep thats how i did it.

unfortunately it was during their transition, hull is welded, but the stringers are riveted. i haven't found any loose rivets, but when i tear it down later ill seal with gluvit or the like. right now the exterior paint is pretty good and i dont wanna tighten the rivets and risk messing it up...

i will be keeping this boat, the 4.3l rebuild is a short term bandaid, i will end up swapping a v8 in, probably an LS 5.7

reguardless of what i find rot wise ill be keeping the boat and repairing it, it has a nice aluminum hull and is about the perfect size.

Thanks, ill check those, and is quicksilver same as oem? when i tear into it i will be replacing stringers and modifying the floor. i have seen some pictures that show a lot of wasted space. that can be better utilized for storage.

Yep, i will end up running Delo ELC for coolant. i like it in all the equipment at work i maintain.

thanks. it shouldn't be plugged, I took it on the water when i first got it so i could verify the drive worked before teardown. got 39mph with 2 cyl's being pretty knackered. and it spewing coolant from the heat exchanger(headgasket was blown between #1-#3 and pressurizing cooling system).
