    Battery question

    Have a 1982 mercury 40 horse. Has the thunderbolt ignition. Does it charge the battery while running? I just bought the boat and the trolling motor is hooked to the same battery as the outboard. I'm wondering if I should buy a battery for the trolling motor or will the mercury keep the battery...

    reverse lock on mercury outboard

    I recently bought an old bass tracker boat with a 40 horse mercury on it. A buddy of mine said that the motor is supposed to lock down when it is put in reverse. However when I do, it doesn't lock down. Could this just be an adjustment problem on the shaft or could it be that it's not hooked up...

    I just bought an older bass boat. Is an 1982 bass tracker. Has the original minn kota 565 trolling motor on it. My question is does anyone know where a person can get a prop for one that old and that style? Is held on with a kotter pin of all things.<br />Any info would be greatly...
