Installed new shift rail and slide today but still can't get it to go into neutral. It's like when it went too far someting changed in lower unit. Any ideas?
I recently got this 99 90hp 2stroke in a trade and am going thru it to put it on my pontoom (tired of getting passed lol) after reinstalling the lower unit that I resealed I shifted it into reverse and all was good then back to neutral and all good then when I went to forward the lever went way...
remove the spark plug and I used needle nose pliers to get mine out. They are very high priced $75 up to $300. Mine tested ok but I'm having the same alarm on my 1989 60hp with oil injection disconnected. driving me crazy!
