The bearings can be replaced? I found a used but outer roller bearing has to be replaced and the inside wall where the inner seal is, has some nicks and scratches but shaft is fine
Looking to replace my lower units bearing carrier. Can someone help me in finding proper carrier and where I could get it from, it can be used if in decent shape. My motor is a 115 inline six mercury and serial number is 7184417. Your help is much appreciated.
Water seems to be moving up the motor leg and entering transom well when opening throttle, tried tilt makes small difference, what is happening? Something I’m doing wrong? Seems to have started when i replaced seals on the prop shaft but don’t know why that would have caused it.

just got my inline six block back with two cylinders rebored The pistons they gave me for those holes are two ringed, the other original four are three ringed, can I still use the two and three ringed pistons in the block?
I just took apart my merc inline six head, removed pistons, one (#5) was bad and one (#3)was scored on side, all had 120 compression except #5 which had no compression before tear down. I plan on replacing all pistons and rings but do I have to rebore all cylinders? The cylinder wall on 5 and 3...
Hi guys, i tried my tilt and trim on my 115 merc today, I was able to lower ir just fine but when I tried to lift to original position it would only raise about 8inches then quit. I could put it back down and lift it again to the same level but not any higher again?
Just took compression test on merc 115 hp starting top cylinder down all read 120 compression until i hit #5 ZERO COMPRESSION? And bottom was 120 also. Shouldn’t there be some kind of reading on the fifth one down? Does this mean I just got hosed by seller? Fix?
I am looking for help for the right prop for my 85 hp merc model 850, serial number on motor is 7082238, numbers worn but last couple numbers are 17? Not sure what is best to run as its only for fishing and getting from a to b , no water sports.
