Put it away this last winter running 57.8 gps at 5700 rpm with a 23p trophy plus. Sold the prop switched to a new brand, could only get 52mph with the new prop. tried 5 different props and ran 5200rpm with all of them. went back to original set up and same...
runs strong and fine when u first get it out, stop to fish then go back at it and @ top speed it starts to miss like its not getting fuel. Acts as if it is running lean. Can the jets be backed out a hair or should i check the timing first
have a 1990 200hp johnson just switched from a 27" pitch sst 4 blade to a 24" raker top speed still 55mph wot, and rpm still @ 5000 with no jack plate what can i do?
just changed from a sst 4blade 27" pitch to a raker 24" and the rpms and the speed stayed the same. I have no jackplate motor runs great. 5000 rpms which is not enough, i have a hot foot should i see if throttle is opening up all the way? top speed is 55
Motor runs clean everywhere but at idle. It will idle clean then miss or spit! every 2 or 3 seconds and it even gives the motor a little bit of a shake when it spits? What do i do?
