    Crank rod bearings

    I have the rod bearings marked for each cyl.Does it matter where the split on the bearings are positioned? I set them 45 deg away from the rod cap split. 1996 90 deg 115 hp. Thanks.

    Interchange

    I have a 96 115 johnson 90 deg on my boat and I have a chance to buy a 96 60 deg model and after looking at my manual it seems the only parts that will interchange is the power trim.What I want to know is will the lower unit interchange, both long shaft. Thanks.
