Hi all, I acquired a 1970 Glastron fishing boat. It will be an on going project.
I was wondering if anyone knew any info on this type of boat. I have searched the web and can not find any info of a Glastron of this styling. The title doesn't give any more info.

I was trying to tune up the carbs to make the motor run smoother and when the motor died white smoke came out of the top carb. What would cause this? Its a 71 Mercury 650.
I have a 71 650 Thunderbolt. I don't seem to be getting fuel to the carbs. If I take the line loose that goes from the fuel pump to the carbs. Should there be fuel coming out of the pump when I crank the motor? I don't know how to check to see of the pump is bad.

I took the boat out last weekend to find out the water pump wasn't working.
No biggie, just buy a kit and rebuild it. So i take the lower unit off to see a bunch of gunk. Now the PO said he used it all last season till the transom gave way.
Anyway, I proceed to take the water pump housing off...
I have just taken the lower unit off my motor to replace the gaskets on the water pump and the impeller. When I took it off there is allot of nasty grease and gunk on the shaft and inside the unit. Could I take a low pressure washer to these units to clean them?
