    15 hp only runs with choke

    Buddy of mine has a 1994 15 hp ( J15rere). He says the only way he can run at full throttle is if he pulls the choke out halfway. My plan for him is to clean the carb and then adjust the fuel / lean mix from there. Any other suggestions ? Thanks for any help.

    Oil hose routing 1989 115

    Helping a buddy with his inherited boat. replacing things that need to be replaced after sitting a while. All the clear oil lines are broke. Easy enough to replace but finding out the routing....not so easy. I know, buy a manual. Easy to say but not easy enough to buy right now for him...

    Lean Sneeze...Common Causes ?

    I have a 1979 35 hp Evinrude, model 35953A that has a terrible sneeze. On muffs, low to a little higher throttle, it runs for a moment then gives a cough, revs back up and coughs again and again. Are there common things to look for ? I have new coils, stator, power pack and rebuilt the carb...

    1979 35hp Evinrude wiring

    Replaced the stator on this motor on the advice of a mechanic......spark on one cylinder only. Didn't work, so next step is replace the power pack ( coils are new ). Problem: no plugs on the ends of the stator. Power pack has White w/black, brown, black and yellow with brown....all into a plug...

    wire up rectifier

    I need to wire up the rectifier on my 1979 35hp evinrude. I replaced the previous stator which had no rectifier wires. I know the 3 yellow wires go to the 3 yellow on the rectifier. Where does the red wire hook up to charge the battery ? I cannot find a wiring diagram in my manual for this...

    Does anyone know how many bolts hold the powerhead on....on a 1979 35hp? And does the exhaust housing need to be removed?.....looks like i cant get to the exhaust housing bolts until I get the powerhead off. 4 bolts out already...still stuck........RAY
