Slightly confussed about the directions
-instructions say to keep fin 3/8 inch from rear of vent. plate.
-My vent. plate is not square
-what do i line up with, the inside corner of the fin with the back edge?
-is the 3/8 inche measured fromt the point since mine is not square?
i have a 1996...
1996 30hp. evinrude.
I have attached a pic of the shift rod connector.
-pic's in repair manual are slightly different(directions also).
?- which bolt turns.
? will the rod turn with the bolt. if so which is fixed.
? Do i run the risk of breaking the rod with too much torque.
