In my boat i have a 3.7l 165 motor
I turned a rod bearing and found a couple 3.7l motors cheap one is a 3.7l/LX
The other is a 170
I guess my question is what is the difference? I can see some of the external stuff blots on differently. But i am more concerned with the internal stuff...

I seized up the 89' Mercruiser 3.7 that was in my boat. My big question is should i try to rebuild it? or replace it? If I replace it, can it be upgraded to another engine like the 4.3 v6? What issues will i have if I do this?
