I have a 25 hp Mariner with reverse . I had to drop the lower unit to replace the carrier bearing. I have put the lower unit back on but can not get it to work properly. The leaver is binding and will not shift into reverse. I can move the leaver to foward but the but the prop stays in neutral...
I have a 25ce Mariner built by Yamaha. I have found a lower unit off of a 25 hp Mariner built by Mercery. Will ther two match and work properly? They are both about the same year model (early 80's).
